In February 2015, the Report by the Secretary-General on Special measures for protection from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse (A/69/779) introduced an enhanced programme of action, encompassing over 40 measures and initiatives aimed at strengthening the response of the United Nations to allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse. The proposals targeted prevention, enforcement, accountability and victim assistance.
