The Executive Committees on Humanitarian Affairs and Peace and Security (ECHA/ECPS) UN and NGO Task Force on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Text

In February 2005, the Executive Committees on Humanitarian Affairs and Peace and Security (ECHA/ECPS) UN and NGO Task Force on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse was established with the aim of preventing acts of sexual exploitation and abuse and improving response to it when it occurs, and to include peacekeeping in inter-agency partnerships. The replaced the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Task Force on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in Humanitarian Crises and established a collective effort involving humanitarian, development and peacekeeping partners. A key achievement of this body was the establishment of the PSEA Task Force website which remains a key tool for resources on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse.
